CHURCH SAFETY AND SECURITY SPECIALIST CERTIFICATION
CV Ministries is now providing certification to those ministering in Church Safety and Security. Completing our training will result in your receiving certification as a Church Safety and Security Specialist. Although the title is “Church Safety and Security Specialist,” this training applies to anybody who is involved in safety and security of a church or ministry. Churches are the places where this certification will most commonly be used, but it does not exclude those involved in other ministries.
REASONS FOR CERTIFICATION:
Certification is vital to you as somebody who ministers on a safety and security team or is actively involved in maintaining safety and security in your church or in your ministry. The reasons why it is so important are the following:
It gives you confidence that you are ministering in an effective way based on recognized principles and practices
You know you have the necessary knowledge and skills to protect others who are under your care as a safety and security specialist
It gives you confidence and peace of mind to know that others who are ministering with you in safety and security “know what they are doing” and will respond in appropriate ways that keep you and everybody else safe while all of you are ministering to others
It demonstrates to leaders in your church or ministry that they can trust you to maintain the safety and security of your flock or ministry
Having all of your safety and security team members be certified specialists is vital to you as a pastor, board member, or other officer or leader of a church or ministry. The reasons why it is so important from an organizational perspective are the following:
It ensures that those involved in the safety and security team in your church or ministry have the knowledge and skills to effectively protect you and all in your ministry
It reduces or eliminates the “lone wolf” mentality and ensures continuity of training and practice on the part of all those on your safety and security team
It serves to advance the ministry effectiveness of your safety and security team. Just like you need your safety and security team members to have formal training and expertise in their area of ministry.
It reduces risk of an incident and risk of legal action following any incident that may occur. You are building a hedge of protection against spiritual attack in the form of lawsuits by having certified safety and security specialists.
